Aurora Reservoir - Some Rules to Know Before Visiting

Now that Spring has arrived, many Colorado families are getting excited about having some fun in the sun at the Aurora Reservoir.

 

Here are some rules to know before you go:

 

Dogs are allowed but must be on a 10 foot or shorter leash.

Dogs are not allowed in the water, on the ice or on beaches.

Swimming in designated areas only.

Gas motor boats are not allowed in this reservoir.

When fishing - all types of bait are allowed.  If using live bait, it must be no more than 7 days old (proof of purchase required).

Only 2.3% beer is allowed. All other alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

No glass containers anywhere at the Reservoir.

No camping or overnight use.

 

The reservoir is located at 5800 S Powhaton Road, Aurora CO 80016.
